Blender vs Weebly

A source-aware comparison of pricing, documented capabilities and workflow fit.

Short answer

These lines are generated from the pricing we track, not from a paid placement. How we score tools.

What Blender is

Blender does 3D modelling, sculpting, animation, simulation and rendering, and it is free and open source.

What Weebly is

Weebly is Square's classic drag-and-drop hosted site builder, distinct from the newer Square Online editor. It provides a free tier and region-priced Personal, Professional and Performance plans; the storefront viewed from Turkey currently shows paid annual prices from €11 per month. Plans vary in custom-domain, branding, statistics, support and commerce features. More importantly, Square has announced that Weebly service will wind down in 67 countries including Turkey: new-page publishing ends June 29, 2026, existing sites are scheduled to be unpublished September 27, 2026, and account access ends December 26, 2026. Buyers in affected countries should migrate, not start a new dependency.

Choose Blender if

  • Anyone doing 3D work, from hobby to professional.

Choose Weebly if

  • Low-complexity informational sites in countries where service remains supported
  • Existing owners maintaining a classic Weebly site while preparing an export and migration
  • Short-lived prototypes that do not require portable application logic or a complete restorable backup

Skip Weebly if

  • The owner or business is in Turkey or another announced wind-down country
  • A complete export-and-import migration path is required
  • The project needs Square Online's current commerce workflow, advanced design control or enterprise identity governance

Blender: pros & cons

  • Free with no licence tier at all
  • Covers the whole 3D pipeline
  • Very active development and community
  • Steep learning curve
  • Interface conventions differ from industry tools
  • Studio pipelines may expect other formats

Weebly: pros & cons

  • The classic editor remains approachable for basic informational sites and blogs.
  • Free hosting, SSL and a Weebly subdomain lower the barrier for eligible-region experiments.
  • Paid tiers add custom domains, greater customization, support and commerce functions.
  • Site, product, order and contact exports provide partial migration and record-retention paths.
  • Service is being withdrawn from 67 countries, including Turkey, on a published 2026 timetable.
  • Weebly and Square Online are different editors and account/product paths; capabilities do not transfer automatically between them.
  • The site archive is not a restorable Weebly backup and excludes blog and store pages; forms and slideshows may not work outside the platform.
  • Plan prices and payment capabilities are regional, while transaction-processing fees remain separate from the website subscription.

Our verdict on Blender

Remarkable value: capability that used to cost thousands, at no price. The learning curve is the real cost.

Our verdict on Weebly

Weebly can still serve simple sites in supported markets, but the country wind-down dominates the decision. In Turkey it is not a sensible new platform choice; export content, store/order/contact data and domains early, then verify the replacement before the published access deadlines.
