What BookStack is

BookStack is an MIT-licensed, self-hosted documentation application built around shelves, books, optional chapters and pages. It provides role and content-level permissions, multiple enterprise authentication options and a permission-aware REST API, but the operator remains responsible for the PHP and database stack, upgrades, filesystem permissions, security configuration and complete database-plus-file backups.

What OceanBase is

OceanBase Database is an Apache-2.0 distributed relational database designed for transactional and analytical workloads. Community Edition provides MySQL mode, multitenancy, distributed transactions, replication and horizontal scaling; it is not a complete replacement for every MySQL feature. A single-node deployment is intended for evaluation and lacks distributed high availability, while the documented standard production topology starts with at least three suitably resourced hosts. Enterprise products, cloud service and commercial support are separate decisions.
