What ISPConfig is

ISPConfig is a free, BSD-licensed control panel for administering Linux web, mail, DNS, database, FTP, shell and cron services. One panel can manage a single server, multiple servers or mirrored configurations, with separate administrator, reseller, client and email-user access levels. The core software has no license fee, but servers, administration, monitoring, backups and incident response remain the operator's responsibility. Optional materials and extensions use separate commercial terms: the current billing module is €59 excluding VAT per master panel and includes 12 months of updates.

What Uniregistry is

Uniregistry historically served domain investors with registrar, portfolio-management and aftermarket tools. GoDaddy announced the acquisition of Uniregistry's registrar and marketplace businesses in February 2020; the registry business was explicitly outside that transaction. ToolCompare therefore treats this entry as a legacy brand, not a currently comparable standalone registrar. New purchases should be evaluated against the current GoDaddy or Afternic product and terms, while legacy customers should confirm where each domain, listing, DNS configuration and billing relationship now resides.

• Current transfer route exists: GoDaddy documents how eligible domains can be unlocked and transferred to another registrar.
• Not a current standalone choice: Historical Uniregistry features and prices should not be used for a new registrar comparison.
• Brand ambiguity: The registrar, marketplace and registry are distinct businesses and the registry was not part of the acquisition.
• Legacy-state verification is necessary: Domain registration, DNS, aftermarket listings and connected products may follow different systems or rules.
