HoneyBook
Clientflow platform for independent service businesses combining leads, contracts, invoices, scheduling and built-in payment processing.
What it is
HoneyBook is a proprietary client-management and payments platform for independent service businesses. It combines inquiry capture, a customizable pipeline, proposals, e-signatures, invoices, scheduling, a client portal and financial tracking. Current US annual-billing prices are $29 per month for Starter, $49 for Essentials and $109 for Premium; monthly billing costs more. The subscription is only part of total cost: standard online card fees are currently listed from 2.9% + $0.25 per transaction, ACH at 1.5%, and eligible instant deposits add 1%. HoneyBook is available only to business owners in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom and Australia.

Strengths and trade-offs
What works well
- One project record can connect lead capture, communication, proposals, contracts, invoices and payment status.
- All plans include unlimited clients and projects plus core financial workflows.
- Essentials adds automations, scheduling, SMS reminders and advanced integrations for a growing solo business or small team.
- iOS and Android apps cover many daily project, message, file, calendar and payment-notification tasks.
Where it falls short
- It is unavailable to business owners outside the US, Canada, UK and Australia, including Turkey.
- Subscription fees exclude card, ACH and optional instant-deposit charges, which can dominate cost at higher payment volume.
- HoneyBook processes platform card and ACH payments; another processor such as PayPal, Venmo or Stripe cannot replace it inside HoneyBook invoices.
- Mobile is supplementary: settings, lead/contact forms, bookkeeping and refunds still require other workflows, and plan limits apply to forms, sessions and team seats.
Who it is for
Independent service providers in supported countries who want a single clientflow and are comfortable using HoneyBook's payment rails.
Our verdict
HoneyBook is coherent for supported-region independent service businesses because it joins booking paperwork and collection, but compare total payment cost—not just $29—and prove bookkeeping, processor, mobile and export needs during the 30-day trial before moving live invoices.
